Virgo Music is proud to offer a wide selection of liturgical music and dramatic presentations for use throughout the church year. Among the creations we have developed are cantatas for Christmas and Easter, service music for congregtional singing as well as choral anthems and musical theatre productions on various themes. Many songs used in the cantatas and musicals stand alone as anthems or to be used in a worship service. These titles are available separately or as part of a collection.
In addition to our liturgical music, we are also offering two musicals. The first is the Wartime Radio Show. This is a theatrical production about a live to air radio show going out to the men and women overseas. The time is 1944 and the setting is wherever you are. It has been presented in several communities both in Ontario and the Maritimes, each time using local landmarks and radio call signs. We will customize the script using your information to bring the show closer to your home and give it additional meaning for your audience. The jingles are original, but the rest of the music comes from the war years and.although we provide suggested selections, we leave it to you to select those songs that are most meaningful for your audience.
The second musical, M4 Multi-Media Matthew Musical, was written by a group of people from Faith United by studying the gospel of Matthew and then bringing some of the stories to life in a variety of media. It is essentially a series of sketches, some set in ancient times, and some in contemporary times that tell the story of Jesus from baptism to resurrection. Many of the songs from M4 can be used in worship services as either anthems or for congregational singing and are available separately.
Finally, if you have a special event for which you would like a unique song, please tell us. We can take your ideas and turn them into a solo, ensemble, or choir piece that has been written just for your own occasion. Our Philosophy
In keeping with our “green” philosophy, all products are available electronically only through Sheet Music Plus or Sheet Music Direct. As part of our personal service to you, we can customize any product for your needs. Don’t have a clarinetist, but do have a flautist? We’ll transpose the part accordingly. Your choir has only men or only women? We will rewrite the parts just for you in whatever key works for your musical ensemble.
